Reflections Submission 2026-2027

CALLING ALL OGE ARTISTS! 🎨

The PTA Reflections art program is a great opportunity for OGE students to submit original artwork in six categories:

 

🎬 Film Production | 🎵 Music Composition | 🎨 Visual Arts | 💃 Dance Choreography | ✍️ Literature | 📸 Photograph

 

Theme: “What My Culture Means to Me”

📅 OGE Deadline: Monday, October 19, 2026

 

Winning school-level submissions will advance to the District competition, then possibly to State and Nationals. OGE students have made it to the state level, and you can too!

 

⭐ Important Things to Remember

• Entries must be the creative product of the student artist alone.
• Entries are encouraged to be an interpretation of this year's theme, “What My Culture Means to Me.”
• The entry form includes an Artist Statement where the student explains the artwork and how it relates to the theme.
• Entries will be judged by grade and category at OGE (e.g., Visual Arts—3rd grade, Photography—1st grade).
• Please review the rules for each art category before submitting.

📝 Complete the Google Form Application by Monday, October 19, 2026. 

 

You will need to provide:

1. Student's information
2. A PDF copy of the completed Student Submission Form
3. A copy of the student's artwork entry in one of the six categories

     Submission Form: One form is required for each piece of art submitted. When completing the form, use:

• Local PTA: Oak Grove ES
• Local PTA ID: 00001668
• PTA Council: DeKalb County Council
• District PTA: 11
• Region PTA: 1

🎨 Visual Arts Submissions. If you are submitting Visual Arts, please upload a photo of your artwork and bring the original artwork to school for judging. Visual Arts entries must be submitted both digitally and physically. Upload a photo of the artwork and bring the original to school.

 

💻 Digital & Physical Submissions. The following categories will primarily be submitted digitally: Film Production, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, Literature, and Photography.

 

📸For other artwork, such as Literature and Photography, that you would like displayed at school, please send a copy of the artwork.

 

🏆  Next Steps

After school-level judging, advancing entries will move on digitally through the National PTA Reflections portal. Physical Visual Arts originals will be displayed at school and returned later in the school year.
