If you ordered a kit, it will be shipped to your home. If anyone has a missing or damaged item, email rose.wade@schoolspecialty.com directly or go to https://www.shopttkits.com and click Contact Us.
If items or kits are damaged, a picture must be provided before replacements are sent. Any requests submitted after 30 days from delivery will not be replaced/refunded, please make sure to inspect your supplies upon receipt.

Membership Toolkit is a resource that provides parents with access to a directory of contacts for other OGE families and teachers, as well as the ability to register/purchase required and voluntary items and services throughout the school year.

Choose your privacy setting - what information you wish to publish in the directory. We will not publish or use any information that you choose to hide.
6. Signup for the Oak tree Newsletter here
Sign up for the Oak Tree Newsletter (via your Membership Toolkit account).
The weekly e-mail will keep you in the know with everything going on at OGE.
Simply log in to your Membership Toolkit Account and click on your name at the top of the page. Then click on the Subscriptions tab to make sure that you're signed up to receive the Oak Tree Newsletter.

Volunteer! Opportunities available throughout the year—no time commitment too small!
This is a wonderful way to really get to know your OGE community and to get to be a part of the excitement throughout your child's school year. Whether you only have a moment to spare or longer, there are a multitude of ways for you to get involved!

Back to School Events
Teacher/Classroom Assignments & Open House:
OPEN HOUSE is scheduled for Thursday, July 31 1st, 8:30am-1:00pm
The perfect opportunity to connect with the teacher, drop off supplies, get a a sneak peak at the classroom, register for PTA and aftercare and activities.
Be on the lookout for a welcome email from your child’s homeroom teacher on Wednesday, July 30th.
- Class/teachers assignments can be found on Infinite Campus and will be shared that morning at the school.

Families check in at the cafeteria before heading to classrooms.

Drop off school supplies in classrooms during your visit.

Once your child has been assigned to a class, you can expect your child's teacher to contact you. Please be on the lookout!
We welcome both parents and students to come and see your child's classroom
and meet the teachers!
Popsicles on the Playground (pre-K-1st families of students NEW to OGE): Saturday, August 2, Pre-K: 9-10am, Kindergarten and 1st: 10-11am
Cheers and Tears Coffee (all parents): August 4, 7:45-8:45 am. Parents join us in the cafeteria for coffee and donuts after drop off to catch up with old friends and meet new ones!
PTA Q&A :Parents are invited to join us for an introductory session on August 8, 4:00pm-4:30pm, just before the Kona Ice Party. We will also vote in new members of our board.
Student Welcome Social - The Kona Ice Party (all families): August 8, 4:30pm-6:30pm. Each student will receive one treat. Additional treats may be purchased for $5.

Dismissal:

OGE uses School Dismissal Manager for end-of-day changes.

⚠️ You must register your family in SDM before the first day of school. Instructions will be sent via email and by your homeroom teacher.
. Nutrition - School Meals
SchoolCafe is the program used to add funds to your child's account to purchase school meals.

Set up or update your SchoolCafe account to add lunch funds.

Breakfast is served from 7:15–7:35 a.m.

Bus Routes & Transportation

If using carpool, pickup procedures will be reviewed at Open House.
After School Care

OGE offers an extended-day program for families.

Registration begins at open house, space is limited, and is first-come, first-served.

Clubs and After School Programs:

This year’s lineup includes:🎨 Art Club, 🧠 Chess Club, 💃 EIM Dance Club

Students with Needs:

If your child has a medical condition that requires them to need to have access to certain medications during the school day (504 plan) AND/OR your child has specific learning difficulties (IEP), you will need to apply for accommodations through the Department of Education. Here is quick comparison summary of these two plans.

Membership is $10 per member. Join us! Help support OGE, DeKalb District PTA, GA PTA, and National PTA as one voice in the effort to improve education for all students. Membership gives you voting rights at any PTA general meeting. You also enjoy great discounts, locally and nationally. When you go a step further and volunteer to help with events—or join our board— you set a fine example for our students to follow, and greatly encourage our teachers and staff.
